Noakhali Charjabbar police station OC withdrawn

Three days before the Subarnachar Upazila Parishad elections of Noakhali, Charjabbar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Rafiqul Islam has been withdrawn. Earlier, on April 27, AHM Khairul Anam Chowdhury Salim, the candidate of Doat-Kalam symbol in the Subarnachar Upazila Parishad elections, filed a written complaint with the Chief Election Commissioner demanding the withdrawal of the OC, alleging bias and neglect of duty.

On Sunday (May 5) afternoon, Noakhali Superintendent of Police (SP) Mohammad Asaduzzaman signed this information about the withdrawal of the OC.

According to district police administration sources, Charjabbar police station OC Md. Rafiqul Islam has been withdrawn and attached to police lines. Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Hatiar Bhasanchar Police Station Md Kawsar Alam Bhuiyan has been given the charge of OC of Charjabbar Police Station. OC Rafiqul Islam was withdrawn based on the Bangladesh Election Commission Secretariat memorandum.

Noakhali Superintendent of Police (SP) Mohammad Asaduzzaman confirmed the matter. He said that the OC of Charjabbar police station has been withdrawn due to the complaint.
