BNP’s mass processions at 2:30pm, AL’s peaceful rally at 3pm

The BNP and its like-minded opposition parties brings out mass processions jointly in the capital on Saturday as part of their simultaneous one-point movement.Meanwhile, the ruling Awami League holds its peaceful rally in front of its central office Bangabandhu Avenue in the capital at 3pm to protest BNP Jamaat’s “terrorism and anarchy”.Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader will present at the rally as chief guest.

This will be the sixth programme of the one-point movement of the opposition BNP to mount pressure on the government to quit and hold the next election under a non-party caretaker government.BNP’s Dhaka south and north city units and other parties and alliances will separately take out mass processions at 2:30pm.The Dhaka south city unit of BNP will take out a procession from near Kamalapur Railway Station and it will end at Nayapaltan.The north city unit will start a procession from Rampura at the same time, which will also end at Nayapaltan.Apart from BNP, Ganatantra Mancha, 12-party Alliance, Jatiyatabadi Samamona Jote, LDP, Ganaforum and People’s Party, Samamana Peshajibi Ganatantrik Jote, Ganatantrik Bam Oikya, Labour Party, Bangladesh Sadharan Chhatra Odhikar Sanrakshan Parishad and both factions of Gana Odhikar Parishad will also observe the programme separately in different areas of the capital.
