BNP, like-minded parties to bring out mass processions, AL’ peace rally in city today

Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) and all like-minded parties and allies will hold mass processions in the capital on Friday, demanding next general election under the non-partisan caretaker government.BNP had already announced the routes the procession. Dhaka north and south city units of the party will bring out separate processions at 2pm after Jumma prayers.Dhaka city north unit will bring out the mass procession from Badda Subastu Tower to Abul Hotel, while BNP south unit will bring the procession from Kamalapur Stadium to Malibagh Rail Gate.

Meanwhile, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir will led the Dhaka north unit procession while BNP standing committee member Nazrul Islam Khan, Amir Khasru Mahmud Chaudhury, vice-chairman Altaf Hosen Chaudhury, Abdul Awal Mintu, advisor to the BNP chairperson Jaynul Abedin Faruk, among others, will present in the procession.The party’s permanent committee member Mirza Abbus will led the Dhaka south unit procession while BNP standing committee member Gayeshwar Chandra Roy, Abdul Moin Khan, vice-chairman Barkat ullal Bulu, BNP’s joint secretary general, Khairul Kabir Khokon, Habibun Nabi Khan Sohel, among others will present in the procession.Apart from BNP, Ganatantra Mancha will hold a rally and procession in front of the national press club at 4pm. Top leaders of all allied parties including ASM Abdur Rab, Mahmudur Rahman Manna, Saiful Haque and Zonayed Saki will be participating in the programme.Meanwhile, Samomona Gonotantrik Peshajibi Jote and Bangladesh Sadharon Chhatra Odhikar Songrokkhon Parishad will hold a rally there at the same time.12-party alliance will carry out a public procession from in front of Bijoy Nagar Water Tank to Shantinagar More around 4pm. Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) will bring out a procession from in front of their office adjacent to FDC at 3pm.Gano Forum and Peoples’ Party will hold joint procession and rally in front of Gano Forum’s office in Arambagh at 4pm and Nationalist Democratic Movement (NDM) near Malibagh More at 7pm will hold separate processions as well.Meanwhile, Awami League’s Dhaka Metropolitan South and North units, separately will hold peaceful sit-ins in the capital on Friday.Leaders and activists of the party will take stand at the party offices at all wards and thanas in the metropolitan.Besides, AL-led 14 party alliances will hold peace rally in front of the Uttara Azampur Amir Complex at 4pm to stand against the conspiracy of BNP-Jamaat to foil next general elections.Awami League advisory council member and 14-party alliance coordinator, spokesperson Amir Hossain Amu, and other party leaders will speak in the programme.Meanwhile, law enforcers are on the alert at different key points and adjoining areas to prevent any untoward incident as different political parties are going to hold programmes and counter programmes.
