China will always be a trustworthy neighbour to Bangladesh: Envoy

Yan Hualong, chargé d’affaires, Embassy of China inBangladesh, today said China will always be a trustworthy neighbour, closefriend and cooperative partner to Bangladesh on the latter’s modernisationjourney,”China will continue to encourage more Chinese enterprises to invest inBangladesh and promote the steady and long-term development of China-Bangladesh economic and trade relations,” he said at the inauguration of the”The Belt and Road Initiative in Bangladesh Exhibition 2023″ in city, said apress release.”I believe that, under the Belt and Road Initiative, China-Bangladeshrelations will surely reach a new height and open a new era of friendlycooperation,” said the Chinese envoy while delivering the keynote speech atthe event.This year marks the 10th anniversary of BRI. The envoy said Bangladesh hadbeen the first country in South Asia to join the initiative.Expressing his gratitude to Bangladesh China Chamber of Commerce and Industryand Chinese Enterprise Association for organising the event, Yan Hualongsaid, “This year marks the 10th anniversary of Belt and Road Initiative. Aswe all know, Bangladesh is the first country in South Asia to join the Beltand Road Initiative.””The Chinese Embassy in Bangladesh holds this exhibition to vividlydemonstrate the achievements of the Belt and Road Initiative in Bangladesh,build a platform for cooperation between Chinese and Bangladeshi companies,and to present a gift to the upcoming 74th anniversary of the Founding of thePeople’s Republic of China.””The Belt and Road Initiative in Bangladesh Exhibition 2023”. The premiumexhibition featuring top companies from China and Bangladesh is going on 8-10September 2023, 10.30 am – 7.00 pm at Bangabandhu Bangladesh – ChinaFriendship Exhibition Center at Purbachal.Embassy of China in Bangladesh with the joint organization the exhibition ofBangladesh China Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCCI) and ChineseEnterprise Association (CEAB).During the exhibition, several seminars such as workshops with governmentdepartments, forums between China and Bangladesh enterprises, job fairs, andbusiness meetings will also be held.The exhibitors include 15 Chinese companies whose South Asian regionalheadquarters are in Bangladesh, nearly 20 other large Chinese companies thatare deeply operating in the Bangladesh market, and several large Bangladeshicompanies and banks.
